Prior to his tenure at MCTV, Rob distinguished himself as a person who could bring people together to solve problems. As Associate Director of a regional office of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, he served a non-sectarian organization whose mission is to act as mediator, facilitator and “honest broker” in resolving community conflicts. Among those conflicts were some of the most controversial events of the decade in New York, dealing with racial violence in the communities of Howard Beach, Bensonhurst and Crown Heights.

Rob’s other work experience is rich and varied. He has been a dairy farmer, a cabinetmaker, a Christmas tree farmer and a cannery worker. Rob is a graduate of the University of Colorado and received a Masters of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York.

Rob lives in Fairview with his wife Karen who is a chaplain at Willamette University.
